Swedish Dolce Vita

Saturday, 28 January 2017

This must be one of my favorite Swedish homes because of its uniqueness. Malin Persson, interior designer and former model, opens the doors of her Swedish house, which she shares with her Italian husband Damiano and their three children. Together they transformed this old building into the cradle of the Scandinavian Dolce Vita. The house, located in the seaside town of Malmö, Sweden, was originally built in 1908 and underwent a 3 years transformation under the lead of Malin and her husband. The original facade was restored, lead windows were replaced, brick walls and wood floors were reinstated, crown moldings were reconstructed, and some plastered walls were left untouched, leaving all the original charm intact.

The result is up to their expectations, a place they dreamed of, in their own image. The house is spacious. Large libraries, comfortable sofas, massive tables and convivial bench, it is an invitation to share.
