Tokyo based Artist Hikaru Cho creates visual illusions with food

Saturday, 15 March 2014

Hikaru Cho, aka Choo-San, is a second-year university student in Tokyo who creates amazing hyper-realistic paintings that play on optical illusion and the perception of surface. Her work was widely featured in British and international media last year. Amnesty International and Tokyo-based artist Hikaru Cho  have collaborated to produce the ‘My Body My Rights’ campaign - a series of unique paintings.
This time she surprises us again, with this mini-series with foods that are actually not what they should be. Cho is helping us re-think everyday objects along with human form and nature. Genius.
