The Bamboo Chair

We love a good design and we love sustainable !
The Dutch stroke again !  The designers Tejo Remy and RenĂ© Veenhuizen have been utilizing traditional asian plaiting techniques and  ‘the bamboo chair’ by is made solely from weaving the eco-friendly wood.
The lightweight piece is also extremely durable;  it is constructed using 24 cm by 10 cm strips that are bent into semi-circles to form the main base.

Resembling a tub chair, typical of deck chairs on passenger ships, the project combines typical dutch design with ancient construction techniques to make a comfortable, modern and importantly, sustainable product.
Very cleaver and looks very stylish !
