Bohemian and stylish home in Palm Beach Australia

Tuesday, 23 April 2013

They are some private homes that I find truly inspiring by their eclectic style and where I would see myself being invited for a glass of wine and a lovely lunch..  Here is one of them ! Are you with me ? :)
Heidi Middleton’s Palm Beach hideaway, 41 km north of Sydney is a visual feast of eclectic grace and stylish charm. Produced by an old friend of mine from my  NYC crazy life, Natalie Joos of Tales of Endearment fame, who writes a wonderful blog dedicated to “stories about friends, vintage, love, style and life”, these images of Heidi’s home give us a little snapshot into the life of one of Australia’s most prolific and creative designers of our time.
Built in the 1940s and at one point occupied by a flamboyant gay fashion designer and a celebrated Australian painter, the house resembles an Italian terraced villa. The entire front of the house facing the bay is open, basking in sunlight throughout the day and displaying breathtaking sunsets at dusk. The walls are covered in smooth white stucco and the windows kept in their original floor to ceiling frames. Amazing home.
