I have been meaning to make a post about this wonderful place for a while now and I was hoping to stay in this gorgeous hotel last year, but my travel plans changed. It is definitely in the plan for beginning of 2013.
Peacock Pavilions is a love story from a style and oriented international couple.
The owner, Maryan Montague was born in Egypt and raised by an Iranian Mother. She is a human rights and democracy specialist, but also a journalist, photographer, hotelier, shopkeeper, mother of two and soon-to-be author. (Her first coffee table book on Moroccan interior design is due out Spring 2012 from Artisan Publishing.)
After a rich and nomadic life, she was reassigned for a post in Marrakech. That's when, she and her talented architect husband traded in their rich lifestyle for a nine-acre olive grove located just outside Marrakech where they built and decorated these two beautiful Pavillions.
In addition to their regular work, they manage Peacock Pavilions, a boutique hotel they run out of their home, and have a shop, Red Thread Souk, where they sell local wares.
I am absolutely found of this place which has been decorated with lots of care and wonderful taste. I can´t wait to read to visit this place. I hope you do too. Enjoy the tour !
