Amazing woodwork by Ariele Alasko

I am so happy when I  see that someone really found their talent. Meet the amazing artist behind these amazing tables.  Ariele Alasko, designer and sculptor, has trained as a sculptor, she surely discovered her talent to make the most amazing and unique tables ! I am totally in love with them !
This is how Ariele describes herself:"I’m a builder, a fixer, and a do-it-myselfer. My favorite things in life are big tools, old wood, good pasta, and dumpster diving. I enjoy being a mixture of things: the woman who cooks and bakes, and the girl who runs table saws and nail guns, builds furniture, carries around screwdrivers in her purse, and can fix just about anything {minus cars}."
Below are the tables that she built for the restaurant il vecchio in Califoria. Each was built from salvaged oak flooring from a brownstone in Brooklyn. I need one !!

  1. No matter what type of creative wood project you want to take on, consider a few things first before jumping into it. Obviously you have some interest in woodworking or its unlikely you would be undertaking this type of project. To be sure of being successful it is important that you use a pattern for your project. Then along with the pattern there are several other things you can do to enhance your project.

  2. Today most woodworking routers use an electric motor, but there are the few craftsmen that still believe in the old hand machining way of wood working is an art that they can't let be lost in the rush of today's electronic boom. Wood routers will always be advancing the complexity and uses of this amazing woodworking tool.More Information
